Pawkee’s founders Julie and Jo, both live in downtown Toronto and have taken care of pets all their lives. Both Julie and Jo volunteer for Toronto Cat Rescue, regularly fostering cats and attending adoptathons.
Fast forward almost 20 years and I am still passionate about pet sitting. I’m an environmentalist, an animal lover and a dedicated vegetarian. I qualified as a real estate lawyer in 2014 and take pride in getting to know my local community, as well as the highs and lows of condo living, having myself lived in Fort York for the past few years.
I understand what it takes to put your trust in someone to look after your pet; they are not just a pet, but a part of the family. Trust in Pawkee to take on this responsibility while you are away and let me show you that our pet sitting service is perfect for you.
I’ve always loved animals and I’ve always had pets. I was 21 when I adopted my first dog Benji, a miniature schnauzer. I’m an entrepreneur and during my twenties I travelled around a lot with work. Benji kept me company during my travels around the US and never left my side, he was smart, well trained, and great company; he even travelled with me to Mexico and then eventually to Canada.
Some people describe themselves as either a dog person or a cat person. I’m definitely both. I currently foster cats, saving them from shelters and helping them be adopted into loving homes. With my entrepreneurial skills and love of animals, Pawkee pet sitting was an obvious choice. It allows me to share my passion with the local community, ensuring high quality service, easy booking and a pet who won’t be disappointed!
